Another Award for Almora!

We are delighted to announce that our initiative to compost all of our cat waste has been recognised in the Northern Enterprise Awards as we have been named “Most Sustainable Cattery in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire”. The composting initiative has taken a lot of hard work to set up but we now have a number of enclosed composting bins, together with some open compost piles, and have started to get some very rich compost for the garden. Compost from cat waste cannot be used on anything that is grown for eating but can be used anywhere else in the garden.

We would like to make our compost available for our customers so if you need some compost for your garden, feel free to let us know…….and bring a bag!
