We recently boarded Summer, Luna & Casper at Almora Cattery. Couldn't have been happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived Darryl & Jenny was very friendly & passionate at what they do. We appreciated the updates that put our mind at ease. The Facilities are clean. spacious and well maintained. Would definitely recommend this cattery. Our cats are already booked back in. My cat has just spent 9 nights at Almora and has returned home in perfect condition! The cattery is beautifully appointed in little chalets overlooking a pretty garden. Very clean. The owners are lovely too. I’ll definitely be booking in there again when I go away next time. (August 2025)
This was our first time using Almora Cattery by a recommendation and we were delighted with the service. We even had 2x emails throughout being away to keep us updated which was lovely. Would definitely use again and highly recommend 👌 (June 2025)
We was worried when Katie and Phil retired as our cats love Almora however Darryl and Jenny have taken it to another level. Amazing people who look after our 2 cats so well that we can travel without worry. People aren't quick enough to shout about success nowadays but they are both brilliant and our cats Benji and Oscar are both well looked after and we couldn't recommend anywhere else. Can not recommend this place highly enough, have taken my parents’ cat during family crisis with the upmost care and compassion for our family circumstances. Have used them for many family vacations and I can honestly say best place I have ever sent my cats. (January 2025)
First time we left our cat in a cattery and we could not have picked anywhere better, our cat came home very happy, which is not like her when we have been away, it was obvious to us the owners cared about the cats and their primary goal was the welfare of the cats, i can not recommend these high enough and would not consider taking our cat anywhere else in the future, excellent (October 2024)
Highly recommended! We have used Almora several times to board our cats, and it was clear to see that Rocket & Scampy had enjoyed their stay this year. The owners are passionate about caring for their guests, the pens are spacious and clean and the grounds are well maintained, we even received an update with photos on the second day which was a really nice touch and put our minds at ease. I wouldn't dream about taking them anywhere else! (July 2024)
Very well kept and spotless place for your furry friends! Each of the pens have an enclosed space and a catio outside. The cats are able to go in and out as they please. The owners are knowledgeable and very good with the animals so you can be sure they will be treated well. He even sends pictures of them to you after a few days! Very recommended! (August 2024)
This was my first time my cat went to Almora Cattery. I was very impressed of how they cared for her. They also gave me email updates of how she was getting on and sending me a picture of her was a lovely touch. 5 star cattery indeed. (January 2024)
Absolutely fantastic place and the couple who runs it are genuinely so caring towards all its residents. I’ve only used a cattery once before and she came back underweight and in a mess. So as you can imagine I was very reluctant to use a cattery again but from my first contact with Almora, I was made to feel at ease. They answered all my questions, wanted to know about Belle, her likes and dislikes etc etc. She can be a very shy cat and they have individual rooms (with inside and outside areas) that are a little more out the way but they also have rooms that are in the thick of it for the more sociable cats. Both Darryl and Jennifer are lovely and you can see they genuinely love what they do. I even got an update from Darryl the day after to say that Belle had settled in and he also sent a picture. This was very reassuring. Will definitely use Almora again. (August 2023)
